Abstract

Indonesia's creative economy contributes 7.28 percent of national gross domestic product, yet rural producers who hold the country's living cultural knowledge capture only a small share of that value. General-purpose marketplaces reduce village creative products into anonymous commodities and provide no structured space for cultural provenance. This study designs, implements, and evaluates a village digital marketplace prototype that treats local wisdom as machine-readable metadata and links platform outcomes explicitly to the Sustainable Development Goals. A six-stage design science research methodology with evolutionary prototyping was applied in four craft villages in the Solo Raya Region, Central Java. Data were collected through observation, interviews with eighteen key informants, four focus group discussions, and questionnaires completed by eighty respondents, then analysed qualitatively and with descriptive statistics. The study produced a five-pillar conceptual model, a twelve-element Local Wisdom Metadata Schema, and a modular progressive web application. Evaluation showed a 96.61 percent functional test pass rate, a 95th percentile response time of 452 milliseconds under five hundred concurrent users, and a mean System Usability Scale score of 80.7. The findings indicate that culturally embedded platform design can operationalise Sustainable Development Goals 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 at village scale.
