FORMULASI SEDIAAN SALEP EKSTRAK DAUN GATAL (Laportea documana) SEBAGAI ANTIBAKTERI TERHADAP Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Latar Belakang Infeksi kulit merupakan masalah yang paling banyak dijumpai pada kehidupan sehari hari. Kasus Infeksi kulit adalah penyakit yang salah satunya disebabkan oleh bakteri yang masuk kedalam jaringan tubuh dan berkembang biak di dalam jaringan. Salah satu bakteri yang dapat menyebabkan infeksi kulit tersebut adalah Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasi sediaan salep ekstrak daun gatal (Laportea documana), menguji mutu sesuai dengan persyaratan dan menguji aktivitas antibakteri sediaan salep ekstrak daun gatal (Laportea documana) terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 mengamati terbentuknya zona hambat konsentrasi FI 40%, FII 50%, dan FIII 60%.

Metode penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan menggunakan metode difusi cakram dengan 5 replikasi yaitu ciprofloxacin (kontrol positif) dan DMSO 1% (kontrol negatif) konsentrasi salep ektrak daun gatal (Laportea documana) F1 40%, FII 50% dan FIII 60%.

Hasil  salep ekstrak daun gatal (Laportea decumna) dengan konsentrasi FI 40%, FII 50% dan 60% memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 hasil daya hambat yang paling baik konsentrasi FIII 60% dengan rata-rata 11,23 mm dan evaluasi sediaan salep ketiga konsentrasi memenuhi persyaratan uji organeleptis, uji pH, daya sebar, daya lekat dan viskositas,

Kesimpulan ekstrak daun gatal dan salep ekstrak daun gatal dapat menghambat bakteri staphylococcus aures ATCC 25923, dan uji mutu fisik sediaan salep meliputi uji organoleptis, uji pH, uji daya sebar, uji daya lekat dan uji viskisitas, memenuhi persyaratan.

Abstract

Background Skin infection is the most common problem encountered in everyday life. CaseSkin infection is a disease, one of which is caused by bacteriaenter the body's tissues and multiply in the tissues. One of the bacteria that can cause skin infections is Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923. This study aims to formulate an itchy leaf extract ointment (Laportea documana), test the quality according to the requirements and test the antibacterial activity of the itchy leaf extract ointment (Laportea documana) against bacteria. Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 observed the formation of inhibition zones with FI concentrations of 40%, FII 50% and FIII 60%.

Method This study was conducted experimentally using the disc diffusion method with 5 replications, namely ciprofloxacin (positive control) and 1% DMSO (negative control). The concentration of itching leaf extract ointment (Laportea documana) F1 40%, FII 50% and FIII 60%.

Result sItchy leaf extract ointment (Laportea decumna) with FI concentrations of 40%, FII 50% and 60% has antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 the best inhibition results are FIII concentrations of 60% with an average of 11.23 mm and preparation evaluation the three concentrations of the ointment met the requirements of the organelleptic test, pH test, spreadability, adhesion and viscosity,

Conclusion Itchy leaf extract and itchy leaf extract ointment can inhibit staphylococcus aures ATCC 25923, and the physical quality tests of the ointment preparations include organoleptic tests, pH tests, spreadability tests, adhesion tests and viscosity tests, fulfilling the requirements.
