Abstract

Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) merupakan komplikasi umum diabetes yang ditandai dengan nyeri, mati rasa, dan kelemahan pada ekstremitas bawah. Latihan aerobik telah direkomendasikan sebagai pendekatan terapi untuk mengelola diabetic peripheral neuropathy, namun pengaruhnya terhadap fungsi ekstremitas bawah belum dipahami dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan aerobik terhadap fungsi ekstremitas bawah pada pasien diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Hasil yang di dapatkan dari literatur review bahwa latihan aerobik ini memberikan dampat yang baik terhadap peningkatan kekuatan otot ekstremitas bawah pasien diabetic peripheral neuropathy, selain itu latihan aerobik juga memberi manfaat yang positif dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup dari pasien. Penambahan latihan kekuatan pada latihan aerobik dapat memberikan manfaat tambahan dalam meningkatkan kekuatan dan fungsi ekstremitas bawah.
