Abstract

Hydroponics is a method of farming where the method of growing by utilizing water without using soil to meet the nutritional needs of plants. This study looks at the interest of students of Universitas Duta Bangsa Surakarta in the hydroponic vegetable cultivation business. The location of this research was carried out at Universitas Duta Bangsa Surakarta with a total of 75 respondents. Primary data is a source of data obtained directly by researchers with questionnaires. Secondary data is a study of articles or books. Data analysis uses a Likert scale. Based on the statement that includes an understanding of hydroponic cultivation, the desire to start a business, the potential to increase income, land efficiency, contribution to campus greening, solutions for sustainable food needs, promising business potential, environmental benefits, year-round production capability, and effectiveness as a medium for learning landless agricultural technology, it can be concluded that students of Universitas Duta Bangsa Surakarta. are included in the category Very interested in the hydroponic vegetable cultivation business, with an average percentage of 81.97% with hoping that after graduation, students of Universitas Duta Bangsa Surakarta can open their own hydroponic vegetable cultivation business opportunities, utilizing the knowledge and skills they have acquired to contribute to the local economy and food security
