Abstract

Gasoline fuel is not foreign to the Indonesian population because the majority of all use it, often the use of fuel is not a few major cities in Indonesia that operate on the road resulting in congestion, and pollution that accumulates due to the combustion of exhaust gases (emissions). From the problem of the study, it aims to describe the exhaust emission elements and emissions hazards and prevention. In this study using quantitative methods, by describing the combustion process of exhaust gas and its spread. The results of the research show that in the exhaust gas (emissions) there are several chemical elements such as water (H2O), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen oxide (NOx), hydrocarbons (HC) that are very harmful to the health and environment. While the effort we take to control air pollution is always caring for the vehicle regularly so as not to cause damage in the machine resulting in excessive exhaust gas and switching with environmentally friendly vehicles and health-related.
