One of the ways to determine food independence is the quality of food consumption diversity. This is manifested in the score of the Hope food pattern (PPH). This score is an assessment parameter of food balance and diversity based on the main food composition. The score is also adjusted for acceptance if it is consumed to meet energy and nutritional needs. The maximum score of PPH is 100. The purpose of this study is 1) to determine the score of the expected food pattern (PPH) in farmer families in Mandiri Pangan Village in Klaten Regency 2) to compare the PPH score of farmers in Klaten Regency with the PPH score of Central Java Province. The method used is an analytic descriptive method. Determination of the location intentionally or purposively because the area is a Food Independent Village that gets programs from the government. The results showed that the score of the expected food pattern only reached 78.5 from the ideal score of 100, which means that diversity and balance of food consumption in the community has not been created even though there is adequate food availability. The results also show that the quality of consumption of family farmers is still low because the biggest food fulfillment is still from the grain sector. The PPH score compared to the PPH score in Central Java is still low
